Also known as Long Term Disability Cover or Permanent Health Insurance – the peace of mind that comes with being financially supported if suffering a long term disability is a real benefit for employees. The state support is an option however the amount of benefit is limited and is subject to rigorous qualification both at outset and throughout the disability.

This benefit is designed to provide employees with an income where they are absent for a long time and may not even be able to return to work. This benefit provides a regular income expressed as percentage of salary after a waiting period of 13, 26 or 52 weeks.
